Traffic Ticket FAQ's What is a traffic infraction and what is a traffic misdemeanor? Infractions are considered civil matters under CRS 42-4-1701. The maximum penalty is a $100 penalty. No jail is involved. Traffic misdemeanors however can carry up to one year imprisonment for a class 1 traffic misdemeanor and 90 days imprisonment for a class 2 traffic misdemeanor. |
